Hi everyone! I'm back with a new chapter of When it Rains, it Pours. Just so you know, the Q and A is officially closed, but I will do another one sometime soon. This chapter is über short, so I will post another chapter later today or tomorrow.

Chapter Six: For Granted
I still had to do my dumb training sessions when I got back to Foxfire. Not many people knew about it, despite the fact that a haze of smoke was still covering everything, despite the fact that the fire was a week ago.
I stomped down the hall, into Lady Quor's classroom (she had insisted I called her that when we started in-person training), and marched over to my seat.
"Oh goodness, stop being so dramatic. You're here so you can practice your skills as a Mortier, not to be dramatic," she muttered. I glared at her. She ignored me.
"Today, we will practice killing at will. Death is a powerful gift, and you need to know that sometimes it's better to be able to kill when you are in deep danger." Her crystal blue eyes seemed to bore through mine. I was shocked, but if it could help me find Alvin, I would do it. She cocked her eyebrow.
"I'm surprised you aren't protesting. I suppose you think it could help you save your friend," she said.
"Yeah," I said. "Is that bad?"
"No. Not really. As long as you don't lose sight of yourself, it is understandable. As long as you aren't killing for sport or unreasonably, I don't see why not." she said, and I felt my shoulders relax.
"But first, let's learn about the types of death," she said.
"There are types of death?" I asked.
"Yes," she said. "depending on your mood, you can kill in many different ways. If you are angry, you can kill them with stabs, and their skin slices open. If you are sad, they can decay quickly, and grow old in front of your eyes. If you are calm, they just drop dead, and it seems a bit like a heart attack." she says. "I want you to master the calm way of killing. The angrier you are, the harder the toll it takes on your soul."
"How will I practice?" I asked.
"On me," she said.
Hope you liked it! Ik it's super short, and sorry about that, but I love leaving you guys on cliff hangers! so fun. ALSO... I'm gonna open a new thing where you give me advice, and tell me things you like or dislike about my writing, so keep your eyes open for that!
