Hi all, since this website is not very big, I am going to be doing a KOTLC contest and giveaway to draw some new people in! In order to enter the giveaway, follow @Charcat and I, and submit your entry to the KOTLC Parody Contest! Ok, so here are the details for the contest: • The main goal of this contest is to change the lyrics of a popular song so that it would apply to KOTLC. Here's an example: (it's a parody on You Belong With Me, by Taylor Swift) You Belong With Keefe, a KOTLC parody Adapted by Mira Ghosh and Asha Masoudi Keefe: You're hailing Fitzy And he is upset He's going off about something Alvar said 'Cause he doesn’t, know what to say to you, Sophie I'm in my room It's a typical weekend night I'm pranking Ro, which Fitzy doesn't like And he’ll never, love you just the way I do But he’s got Teal eyes I mine are ice blue He's your cognate But I understand you Dreaming about the day when you wake up And find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time If you can see I'm the one who understands you Been here all along so why can't you see Ro: You belong with Keefe Keefe: You belong with me Ditchin’ at Foxfire, hoping it can’t be That team Fitzphie is currently a thing ‘Cause Foster-Keefe was always there I wish it was easy And you've got those eyes that could light up Candleshade We haven't spoken in a while since he’ll throw some shade You say you’re fine I know you better than that You know you can’t lie to an Empath He’s got sessions I got detention He's got a family and I all I have is mentors Dreaming about the day when you wake up And find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time If you can see that I'm the one who understands you Been here all along so why can't you see You belong with me Standing by, and helping Glitter Butt All this time Grady had hated me, oh Ro: Blondie, you belong with Keefe You belong with Keefe Keefe: Oh, I remember you reaching out to me, in the middle of the night I'm the one who makes you laugh When we know you're about to cry And I feel all your feelings And you tell me about your dreams I think I know where you belong I think I know it's with me Can't you see that I'm the one who understands you Been here all along so why can't you see You belong with me I’ll hold your hand and give you mental breeze All this time How could you not know Ro: Blonde hottie, you belong with Keefe You belong with Keefe You belong with Keefe Have you ever thought just maybe You belong with Keefe Keefe: You belong with me Rules: • If ANY of your lyrics have cursing or inappropriate content, you will be immediately disqualified. • You must do the ENTIRE song in order to qualify. • If less than 10 people enter the contest, there will be no giveaway. • There must be lyrics that are specific to KOTLC. • You can keep some of the lyrics the same, but most of the lyrics should be changed. • You must tell us which KOTLC character is singing the song, and the original name of the song (and the original artist). • You have until 5pm, October 31st, to Submit your lyrics AND follow @Charcat and I. • The details of the giveaway will be announced later. • Whoever submits your parody will be the person that gets the credit. • You can do the same song as another member, but the lyrics must be different. • Make sure to post your lyrics in the comments section of this post and tag me (we will not review submissions in our emails or any other part of the site). • And lastly, make sure to have fun, and tell your friends about the contest!
