Sophie Foster - Mary Sue

Hi! So I am here because I have one bone to pick with the KOTLC series. I love KOTLC with all my heart, but there is one thing that I dislike. About a quarter of the characters are flawless. And I know what you may be thinking, but yes, half of the characters really don't have flaws. I also recognize the fact that they have flaws that can't necessarily be described, but are still there. For example, Biana. Biana is an awesome character and shows amazing development throughout the whole series. In the first book, she thinks herself superior, but by the most recent book, she is really nice and stuff. But think about Sophie. What are Sophie's flaws? Other than the fact that she is clumsy, she is pretty much perfect. She is insanely smart and is perfect in every subject except alchemy, but every student is bad there. She is beautiful, as mentioned by Keefe and Fitz. She is empathetic and kind and cares for other people. Sometimes, (this is my personal opinion) she is a bit narcissistic and is practically sobbing over the fact that she has brown eyes, but this flaw isn't really intended. The same goes for Dex. Think about it. What are his flaws? what are negative things about him? There are none really, other than the fact that he is a bit petty sometimes. What are Grady's flaws? What are Edaline's flaws? What are Della's flaws? What are Oralie's flaws? etc. Now, I know I'm picking pretty minor characters when I say this but think about it. What are their flaws? I know I probably shouldn't be picking on Shannon, when she's done more than I probably ever could in a lifetime, so kudos for that. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love KOTLC, but this is the one thing I am not a fan of. It doesn't really matter to me in the end because they make mistakes, so that makes up for it. All I'm trying to say is, about a quarter of the characters are basically flawless, minus a couple of minor flaws.
